The wheels of Russian bureaucracy rotate slowly and it was 2 weeks before I could leave
Kirkenes. Killing time and kicking my heels I explored everything bigger than a goat track within an 80km radius while watching the leaves fall and the temperature drop.
Finally I had my visa....and one week to get to the south of Finland!
